The last six months have been pretty exciting in a quiet way. I went to Supernova about a month ago and met Eliza Dushku (she liked my top) and Summer Glau (she touched my arse), as well as seeing lots of talks, the cos play shows and all the amazing costumes. I also had a dalek say "you're welcome" after he ran through some dalek speak for my videoing pleasure. It was a brilliant weekend. I have also gotten my car back, and have been going on roadtrips. The best so far was heading up to Wiseman's Ferry with Dan. Totally going back, probably with fishing rods, and more time for photography. I've also been out to Windsor a few times. It reminds me of home, when ever I get out of the city. It means I can breathe again. I don't realise how claustrophobic I am until I get out of Sydney. I really am a bush baby! I am taking Friday off, and Sofia and I are heading down to Kiama this weekend. Possibly seeing whales, definately seeing the blowholes, maybe the national park, definately heading to Berry so I can walk in my ancestor's footsteps, and may be going to the chocolate store there. And after that I am going to the Roller Derby with Dan, Sofia and Sarah. My life is filled with little things like this. I am still taking a lot of photos, but I havent been bothering to process them. I may have taken some great sunset shots over the river, I may have great shots of the eclipse, and I may have great photos of costumes from Supernova. but I havent checked yet, and I am not too fussed about it. I stopped trying to take photos as artistic expression, and just take them because I want to. I know it is very laid back, but I haven't really had the time to be serious about anything at the moment. I really miss art, but I haven't anywhere or place to concentrate on it. At the end of the year, Dan, Sofia, Sarah and I are getting a house together, and we plan to have a sewing/craft/artroom. I am hoping I will be able to devote more of my time to doing what I love. Wish us luck! LOL now I am curious... I wonder if I could justify processing my photos at work? I could skip lunch!

So anyway, I am still not officially active on deviantART, although I am lurking. I gave up trying to keep up with all the deviations in my devwatch. I am sure I will come back with a force one day in the future and catch up with all my favourite artists, but at the moment I just don't have the capacity. I am fighting an internet addiction by limiting my access. I have wifi on my phone and use that for twitter, email and facebook. It is frustrating, but at least I can control myself this way. I need to look into a lock down program for my computer. If I go on it after work, I stay on there until it is time to go to work again LOL That is just not healthy. So, abstinence *sigh*
