A linoprint as part of my art major on celtic mythology in yr 12. It was based on the piece "deirdre of the sorrows" by John Duncan.

yeah! simply excellent. that's what i call an interesting piece of art. i saw the sketch, but i think this is better, both for the decorations and the posture.

oh, you just made my day!!! i LOVE lino printing! i have a thing for texture.. but because I dont attend school anymore, i dont have access to a press.. am thinking of getting my dad to make one for me.. or my brother.. I'll scan and upload my one i won the prizes for... it is a bit more contemporary though LOL i personally think that is where any talent of mine may lie.. i'm okay at sketching, but if u dont work at it.. but i love texture, and lines, and shadow,, i love working with them.. which is probably why I love printmaking so much LOL

thankyou!! :)

i understand where you are coming from ^^ i used to do quite ab bit of lino printing back in school too =o i actually got myself the material for back home because there are art workshops where you can go and have it printed for a little bit of cash ^^ a great way to get hands on expensive techniques and try new stuff! maybe you can find something like this near your home too?
